I successfully created a cascaded WMS store. When I try to create a new layer from this store, it lists for me the three layer names available. I select Publish, and accept all the defaults. The layer name is “Fire Hydrant”. I tried to preview the layer, but it returned an exception in the Layers. When I reviewed the geoserver log, I see the URL that failed had “…SERVICE=WMS&LAYERS=Fire+Hydrant&…”. It replaced the space in the layer name with a “+”. I pasted this entire URL from the log entry to a browser, and changed Fire+Hydrant to Fire%20Hydrant and the exception went away. I just don’t see yet how to override the URL’s LAYERS parameter, Or any way to preserve the space rather than replacing with a plus. If there is some way to do it, please let me know and close this bug report. |
