Turned on JAI-EXT in an attempt to resolve GEOS-7270 by adding -Dorg.geotools.coverage.jaiext.enabled=true With transparent=true, fully transparent images are produced by WMS. With transparent=fales the raster appears on a white background as expected. GetFeatureInfo returns the RGB values of the image as expected.
