Special characters like double arrows (code: «) get escaped in the sld to « resulting in the web map showing the incorrect result. If I go into the sld and modify it to the correct character code, it works as expected.

Use cases for this include labeling arrows on lines, or using a special font library like FontAwesome to place special icons on the map.

I am unable to attach images but I have tested this with both special html characters and font awesome codes like  and have had success in modifying the sld directly after saving the css file.
