Dear All. Thank you so much for GeoServer. I have been using it with great success for many years! There seems however to be an issue with the line labeling algorithm. Please have a look at the attached screenshot. The issue has existed, from around 2.7.2 until and including the current version (2.10.1). Because if this, I am forced to use 2.7.1.1. The road data comes straight from OSM. Notice all the “ghost labels”, which are all located at the bottom of individual tiles. As far as I can conclude, this only happens when the label does not fit completely within a tile. The label algorithm seems to give up, and just drop the label at the bottom of the tile. It happens with and without using GWC. |
