Currently backup and restore doesn’t backup the configuration of all extensions.
As an example, with the Geogig extension, only the Geoserver stores are backed up, however the Geogig repositories configuration in Geoserver is not backed up, which means that REST HTTP calls need to be made to backup and restore Geoserver’s configuration.

If possible, make sure that the configuration of all extensions is backed up and restorable.
