There is a feature in GeoServer that keeps a backup (.bak file) of deleted SLD files.
It would be really nice to be able to make the use of this feature configurable to keep clutter away from the data folder.

It is part of this file: “main/src/main/java/org/geoserver/config/GeoServerPersister.java”
In the function: “removeStyle( StyleInfo s )”
