The WFS3 adds a number of properties to the output that are generally useful:

  • numberMatched (now called totalFeatures in the output), numberReturned
  • timestamp
  • paging links

There is no harm in adding those to the current output format, and allow WFS3 specific subclasses to add extras that are WFS3 specific (single feature output handling, alternate links with different output formats)
