Drop down to choose SRS from GetCapabilities

I want to be able to choose one supported SRS from GetCapabilities when publishing a new layer.
As it is now it chooses a random SRS and then I can transform it to another but I want to choose the one I want to start with.

Can it be done? Or can I specify direcly when I publish my layer (WMS) what SRS/CRS I want the request to be in.

It would be real nice to have this option to be able to do a active choice from.
