The WCS 1.0.0 and 1.1.1 GetCapabilities and DescribeCoverage responses all include the layer’s title, abstract, keywords and metadata links but those fields are missing from WCS 2.0.1. The WCS 2.0.1 GetCapabilities schema already has the ows:Title, ows:Abstract, ows:Keywords and ows:Metadata elements that can be used for those fields. DescribeCoverage is not as straightforward but gml:name and gml:description could be used for the title and abstract and ows:Keywords and ows:Metadata could be added to the gmlcov:metadata element where the dimensions and other extension metadata currently goes. It would also be possible to create a separate gmlcov:metadata element for each metadata link although that it not the recommend use of the element according to the schema. |
