To reproduce this issue configure a WFS remote store using a WFS capabilities document that will force the usage of the WFS 2.0 strategy, when publishing a layer a Describe FeatrueType operation will be issued to the remote server, and it will use NAMESPACE instead of NAMESPACES, making the layer creation fail. |
