Reporter:

When configuring the WAR based deployment to run under tomcat, with that running behind a httpd proxy I was observing that all of the ‘Data’ options that showed lists had two problems

  1. The ‘Select all’ checkbox did not properly perform this action
  2. The ‘Remove’ option did not work.

Certain other actions such as changing the application settings would also fail.

The problem occurs even if you bypass the httpd proxy.

In all cases the tomcat/application was returning an http error code of 400 for the action request. After a lot of experimentation, I determined that this only happens if the tomcat ‘Connector’ configuration includes proxyName/proxyPort entries. To date the only URLs I see failing are those to ‘bookmarkable’ items in the application.

Others have verified the same behavior under other OS’s. Use of the Connector properties worked under (much) older versions of the associated COTS - I don’t know exactly when it broke.
