When GeoServer is cascading WMTS services as WMS it will capitalize any url parameters on requests. This breaks calls to services which are case-sensitive. An example are Mapbox requests which require a access_token url parameter. When this is capitalized by GeoServer Mapbox returns 401 errors. Issue has been observed here by multiple users - https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/326612 The raw Mapbox urls can be edited and tested directly to observe this breaking behavior in a web browser. I believe I’ve also encountered the same issue while trying to consume https://www.linz.govt.nz/data/linz-data/linz-basemaps also resulting in 401 errors. |
