Time boxed releases proposal
-------------------------------------
http://geoserver.org/display/GEOS/GSIP+77+-+Time+boxed+release+model
JG: use fixed time releases (not relative to the last one)
BCD, JD: drop a release if it's 15 days to late
Clarify that the stable branch is not forced to be maintained after
the new branch,
but nothing prevents someone intersted from doing so
Careful with very core changes (catalog changes and the like).
Catalog classes considered API (of course)
How about LTS, like Ubuntu/Firefox and so on?
Lack of resources to commit there atm - propsoal does not preclude
this idea if a customer is interested.
Resource planning; release schedule wiki page with a sign up for
participents, assign
person to each release date
Q: uDig is happy on geotools trunk (due to QA) may release a milestone
if needed.
RC and final for GeoTools and GeoServer
------------------------------------------------------------
JG: Wow is it that time already, may submit some patches around @deprecations
JD: A few patches expected out of Cite WCS testing, REST and Workspaces
Rendering transformations
--------------------------------------
* Martin putting together some patches
* Hopefully this week or next
CITE
-------
Looking good, residual issue with WFS which should be good now,
residual WCS issues that needs looking into.
But... won't be passing WFS CITE tests on 2.1.x because of changes in
the CITE tests that require severe code changes.
JD: making tools nicer to run
GeoTools Proposals
-----------------------------
- API: Clean up FeatureEvents / FilterFactory cleanup /
FeatureCollection revolution
- Detailed Argument and Return Info for FunctionName - QA run needed
