Hi,
I did an additional fix for GEOS-7020 to handle a nasty edge-case. It is already merged on master, but for 2.7.x since it’s release time, I have just prepared a pull request ( https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/1075 ).
If you think it can be merged before 2.7.1, please merge. I am confident the fix is good and not breaking stuff (Travis CI is all green), and also needed to avoid exceptions on GetFeatureInfo.
