[Geoserver-devel] master now using GWC 1.5-SNAPSHOT, geowebcache-master missing, build failing

In this merge, Kevin changed gwc.version to 1.5-SNAPSHOT:
https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/249
https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4978

Welcome back, Kevin!

There are a few things we need to be aware of:

(1) We really need a GWC release or a milestone for the upcoming GeoServer 2.4-beta.

(2) OpenGeo Hudson geowebcache-master is missing, so there is no GWC 1.5-SNAPSHOT on repo.opengeo.org:
http://repo.opengeo.org/org/geowebcache/geowebcache/

This causes the build to fail. I do not know where OpenGeo Hudson is getting its GWC 1.5-SNAPSHOT, but it is not being published on repo.opengeo.org .

Justin, do you know what happened to geowebcache-master?

Kind regards,

Yup, kevin or jody will be doing a corresponding gwc beta for this

release. And in general moving forward we plan to do a gwc release for
every geoserver release the same way we do with geotools.

Odd.... not sure what happened there. I swear it was there yesterday  And
indeed there is a 1.5-SNAPSHOT in the local repo dated early this morning
my time. Odd. Anyways, job added back in.

Thanks! I can confirm that the GWC artifacts are now present on repo.opengeo.org .
