[Geoserver-devel] Meeting Summary (Part 2)

Hi All

Sorry I missed both Geoserver meetings. Just read the logs for both meetings and have summarised part 2 for those who are interested:

  1. Review of topics for part 1 (morning session).

  2. More communication by taking part in IRC meetings with the right people.

  3. The idea of a “critical feature”. (This point was unclear).

  4. Making Geoserver more stable

  • attracting more developers so that there is more help to report and fix bugs
  • the need for more people to contribute.
  1. J2EE team player
  • using JMX for configuration
  1. New Framework
  • support more modular development
  • the implementation of Spring for modular development
  • start defining the major components of the geoserver system better in terms of fomal apis
  • FROG SOAP WSDL and BPL
  1. Speeding up FM Branch
  • Justin (Can work full-time as well as over-time)
  • Jody: (Can only work over-time)
  • Gabriel: (Volenteer Time)

Kind Regards
Oliver Loe

Thanks Oliver!
