I’m writing to ask authorization for a new community module, which will be part of the OpenSearch for EO family:
a STAC binding for the database backing OpenSearch for EO, so that both services can be provided by the same
source database.
The module will be developed on top of the OGC API support, and will use features-template to convert the internal
representation of features, which is mapped 1-1 to the requirements of OpenSearch for EO, into STAC collections
and items. This is important, as module users can already add extra properties, typically collection specific,
which are automatically mapped into OpenSearch for EO queriables.
The customizable GeoJSON templates will allow users to adapt the GeoJSON outputs as the underlying database evolves.
