Now that RC6 is out, we have 1.3.0 ahead of us. Right now 1.3.0 has more tasks than should be handled in one release, so I would like to break it into one or two more releases (RC7 and RC8).
Just reply back to this e-mail with the task number, ie. GEOS-301, and we will move them.

I have organized the list as follows (headings indicate reasoning), others may find it easier to copy and reorder the issues around (rather then running off to Jira like I have done). I will also point out Jira has a voting system? Can always ask people to vote for the bugs they want fixed

Issues that effect conformance / utility (solve as many as time permits?):
- GEOS-418 Character set encoding for wfs: html content-type differe - GEOS-378 DateTime
- GEOS-419 org.geotools.data.DataSourceException: Transaction rollback
- GEOS-311 Date-Attributes in requests and responses should have xs:dateTime / xs:date format
Issues that effect conformance (but do not crash):
- GEOS-401 Problem with labels (texts disappear)
First impressions / demos are important: (Fix if there is time).
- GEOS-447 Make it so geoserserver start-up doesn't look like someone yakked.
- GEOS-424 Demo -- add WMS SLD post examples
Issues that effect conformance with specific data sources; (include fix if module maintainer meets your deadline)
- GEOS-367 HTTP Error 500 creating FeatureType on PostGis table inside a schema
- GEOS-449 Postgis mishandles Filter.NONE in removeFeatures()
- GEOS-416 LinePlacement for labeling ignored
- GEOS-285 GetMap with Oracle does not take point rotations into account
- GEOS-349 capabilities directory required for validation
These add to the capabilities (not associated w/ conformance). Aka save for dot release.
- GEOS-451 XML Validate incomming WFS requests
- GEOS-429 Give more options to antialias and appy to all formats
- GEOS-434 Patch to add Label Shields to geotools literenderer
Some of these are project goals, you may not want to delay release for them (Save for rainy day, volunteers):
