Hello everyone.
GeoServer just got a new Confluence (professional wiki) page. We may
eventually use it for all our documentation, but for now it's just a
scratching post for the latest ideas and issues in GeoServer.
Right now I've got a section on Servlet Containers, and I would greatly
appreciate it people would give their feedback to it, so we have a good
list of what containers actually work with GeoServer as we move to
1.2.0. I think you can link confluence to jira, so the ones with
problems should be linked to their bug reports so people can check if
and when they are fixed.
The other section is oracle. I've updated our data store factory api,
so that we can now distribute gt2-oracle-spatial. You'll still need
the other two oracle jars though. I put a link there to the latest
war, refractions, if you guys could build from cvs and put it up on
vwfs.refractions.net that would be even better, just update the wiki to
reflect that. If oracle users could test it out and update the wiki
with their experiences I would be extremely grateful.
I also put up sample WMS requests, that should work on your geoserver if
you just run the default war on port 8080. If you click on them you
should get nice maps (jai and/or an svg viewer are required though)
The page is available at:
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOS/Home
I also put a link on the home page.
Keep up the good work everyone!
Chris
