[Geoserver-devel] Nightly 2.6.x and 2.5.x failing for 11 days

Nightly 2.6.x and 2.5.x have been failing for 11 days. Looks like a failure in community/dds.

Fix or kick?

Manually upgrade your production database.
When you want reliability, choose Perforce
Perforce version control. Predictably reliable.

I have now also found the DDS/BIL thread:
http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/Failing-tests-in-DDS-BIL-module-td5161559.html

What I do not understand is why this is failing on 2.6.x and 2.5.x but not on master. Seems a bit odd to kick them off stable/maintenance while keeping them on master.

Kind regards,
Ben.

Oh, my.

geoserver-master-nightly is running with -DskipTests which explains why it has no test failures.

Should we be using this on 2.5.x and 2.6.x nightlies as well?

Kind regards,
Ben.

Yes we should skipping tests for nightlies, just added the flag to 2.5.x and 2.6.x. Sorry, I missed it yesterday when i was fixing the builds.

Thanks, Justin. That should do the trick. I was not sure if there was something special that had changed. We will see if they are fixed in a few hours.

I preened the maven options on all three branches to make them identical; geoserver-master-nightly was running assembly:attached twice. We will know very soon if I broke anything.

Kind regards,
Ben.

Wrong! geoserver-nightly-master was the only one that correctly runs assembly:attached for the top-level pom. (Pressing the Advanced button reveals the second goal was for community/pom.xml, so this was not a duplicate.)

I added assembly:attached for all branch nightlies to try to fix geoserver-2.5.x-nightly and geoserver-2.5.x-nightly and kicked the latter.

Fingers crossed ...
