So at this week's IRC meeting, I made the usual role call and got a response from just Arne and Gabriel. We waited around for more people to show up, but after 30 minutes it was still just the three of us, so we didn't bother having a meeting with 3 people and only one PSC member.
Stuff that I would have brought up:
* Should we have a more stringent requirement wrt UI for the community module graduation policy?
* Are there any concerns about the 1.7.0rc1 release that we're currently working on ('we' being the OpenGeo guys)?
Anyway, what's going on with these meetings? Do we need to just officially cancel them when Andrea is on vacation? Is the schedule still wrong?

Apologies, I totally forgot about the time change... even though you reminded be the day before.

After the last discussion about time changes, I updated the wiki page to reflect the new time:
http://geoserver.org/display/GEOSDOC/3+IRC
I was not in the office yesterday, so I was unable to attend the meeting.
Although I think we do work well as a loose collective, perhaps we should designate a second/third in command for meeting managers (basically, who should step in to take charge when Andrea isn't around. )
Thanks,
Mike

Thanks for passing the word along David - I am finding the meeting time conflicting with my roll at Refractions (I often spend the first start of each day helping others). I will endevour to start Tuesday mornings earlier - in order to attend the meeting.
I was actually hoping one of my co-workers would attend as we are very interested in the community module proposal jdeolive was working on.
I would expect a full UI from a geoserver extension - we are trying to set these modules up as the equal of anything in core geoserver. To do that the user experience (user interface and docs) is a very important component. Do we have any user interface guidelines for the existing wicket work?
With respect to 1.7.0RC1 I have the usual concerns about making an associated GeoTools release; we seem to have difficulty communicating a release schedule - as such I am wondering if we should start making monthly releases again.
Cheers,
Jody

We don't have any user interface design guidelines. However, I have started on a 'how to write a GeoServer UI plugin" guide on the wiki; it is at http://geoserver.org/display/GEOSDOC/Adding+a+Configuration+Page-GS2 . I would love some feedback on this from someone who hasn't been working with Wicket yet, but I already know of a few things that it needs (info on securing pages, how to create a new UI plugin module). UI guidelines would be a great piece of information here as well. Do we need to come up with our own, or could we just borrow some from another project? (the public project UI guidelines I am aware of are for desktop apps, but perhaps would be suitable anyway.)
