[Geoserver-devel] OGC Table Join Service (TJS) Extension

Hi,

We are an environmental engineering company and we have develop a TJS extension for GeoServer (Table Join Service - OGC).

This work was carried out on request of the DREAL Corse and this extension is based on the excellent https://github.com/thijsbrentjens/geoserver/tree/tjs_2.2.x/ (seems not to be maintained).

Our work are available on github :

https://github.com/geohyd/geoserver_tjs_ext

One release for geoserver 2.18 are available with jar :

https://github.com/geohyd/geoserver_tjs_ext/tree/2.18

This project still needs some improvement (show README.md), but it works !

I don’t know if this extension could be added to the other extensions of the geoserver “community”, neither how to propose it.

Best regards,

Jonathan Durand

Hey Jonathan:

New community modules are welcome, the idea is to encourage participation, and reduce folks accidentally duplicating work.

Have a look over what is requested here: https://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/developer/policies/community-modules.html

If you have any questions please ask

Given the history of that module I believe it can be integrated as “found code”, under the specs
of GSIP-186, which allows contribution of community and extensions modules without a CLA.
See the details here.

I have vague memories that the module required core changes too? If that’s the case, I believe those bits
will have to be rewritten from scratch, and contributed with a CLA, while the TJS community module can be contributed
under the GSIP-186 rules (so, two separate PRs, or at least, two separate commits).

Jody, can you confirm my understanding is correct?

Cheers
Andrea

Your understanding is correct, any chance of finding the original developers with a CLA?
