Hi,
the OL output format is not available in the 1.3 capabilities because its mime type, “text/html”,
is not part of the output format names, we get the following output:
23 gen 13:05:09 WARN [wms.capabilities] - Map output format text/html (class org.geoserver.wms.map.OpenLayersMapOutputFormat) does not include mime type in output format names. Will be excluded from capabilities document.
Now… we could include it, but “text/html” is imho too generic. What if we want to add other
map browsers in the future, maybe something based on GeoExt, or Leaflet, they would
need the same mime.
I’ve tried with “text/html; subtype=openlayers”, this is unique enough and from my tests
it works with Chrome, Firefox, IE7, Opera 12 and Dolphin (Android specific browser).
Opinions?
Cheers
Andrea
