Hi,

So until 2) happens 1) means that using native JAI will end for those who run Geoserver on Windows and that’s because just 32-bit JAI binaries are available for Windows and new JDK builds are all 64-bit, but Linux users are not affected.

The answer to that question is two fold …

  1. The same JAI we have now works as far as I know

  2. We are working with LocationTech to get a copy of the JAI codebase (presumably the native code also)
