Please could somebody tell me what the current status is of Oracle in geoserver.
Geoserver appears very promising for the applications I develop, but if I can’t get it to work with oracle, it’s useless for me.
And yes, I have followed the available instructions to get it working. And where did the gt2-oracle-spatial.jar go?

I am concerned about this as well. I am a new user, just installed
GeoServer for the first time. I love the concept, but the first thing I
tried to do was create a connection to an Oracle Spatial database I have
here and I havent been able to get the parameters to be processed. I
was thinking that I was doing something wrong, but Johns email has me
thinking that the Oracle support isnt there yet? Can someone clarify
this for me? Thx.
