[Geoserver-devel] organizing SLD + QGIS interoperability proposal/contract

A couple months ago the GeoServer PSC received a donation … to put towards SLD + QGIS Interoperability.

Here is a thought how to proceed:

  1. Issue a “RFP” with attached dollar amount, we can ask for additional funds as part of the blog post if any sponsors are interested
  2. Literally expect proposals on our wiki page
  3. Select a proposal in one of our PSC meetings, the result of which would be a small contract much how OSGeo SAC operates.

Thoughts?

Sounds good to me, obviously psc members who are connected to a bid should recuse themselves from the discussion.
