While active, I don’t manage really the project, the GeoServer Project Steering Committee [1] is,
any decision related to the project as a whole is the PSCs job. All PSC members are subscribed to geoserver-devel.
I understand that you have been discussing various ideas to host Packt books on geoserver titles on your site with our previous point of contact. As we now have an entirely new Outreach team who look after Packt’s relationship with open source platforms, I would love to take over and discuss partnership opportunities with you further.

I’m also excited to highlight our biggest sale of the year which has begun on the 16th of December. A fixture in the Packt calendar, our $5 campaign is something developers across the industry look forward to every year and 2019 isn’t looking to be any different. It would be great if you can spread this word with your audience.
We don’t do advertisement, but there is one form of them that is accepted, which is,
referring to one own products and services in the signature block of mails.
I’m still just speaking personally here, but I believe one welcomed way for you to highlight the books
would be to have your book authors subscribe and actively participate to the geoserver-users mailing list
(giving actual answers to users), while having a reference to their books in their signature blocks
