Hi all,
I would like to add a new community module whose purpose is to improve the current styling workflow.
Named "istyler" ("i" standing for integrated, or interactive, take your pick :)) it provides a text editor for styles with an embedded OL map which immediately visualizes style changes. Here is a screen shot:
http://skitch.com/jdeolive/nbhwp/geoserver-styling
Its still very basic at this point but functionality I hope to add soon:
* validation
* all the editing capabilities of the current style editor including line #'s and syntax highlighting
* integration onto the current layer editor page

Oops, I forgot to mention that the integrated OL map panel is based on some clever work originally carried out by David (dwins). Apologies for not giving credit where credit is due
