It would be worth to release 2.1.1 now IMHO and fix the rest for 2.1.2.

Hi all,
GeoServer 2.1.0 has been released almost one month ago, so I was
wondering if it’s
time to think about making a 2.1.1
The changelog so far it’s the following, with 29 tickets closed:
http://jira.codehaus.org/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&jqlQuery=project+%3D+GEOS+AND+fixVersion+%3D+%222.1.1%22+and+%28status+%3D+closed+or+status+%3D+resolved%29+ORDER+BY+updated+DESC%2C+priority+DESC%2C+created+ASC
Whilst the list of tickets still assigned is here (28 items):

Opinions?

Yeah, a 2.1.1 release sounds good to me. I am actually waiting for it to be release to backport the label obstacle fix and ship that to the customer.
Also with regard to backport there are actually two other issues I was hoping to backport:
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4343
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4347
Both have been committed on trunk for some time now. At the time it was thought that it would be good to give them some time to settle on trunk and the developers to test it out to ensure no issues popped up. Nothing has resulted afaik so I was hoping to backport for 2.1.1. Any objections?

They both look good and have been around for months, can't think of a reason
not to backport them, +1
