Actions from last meeting
- (done) JG: ask about jira migration on SAC email list
- (done) JG/AA: release!
- (done) JG: put a reminder for nabble users on the communication page (see: http://geoserver.org/comm/ “If you wish to post using nabble please pay attention to their instructions on subscribing - Nabble is full of frustrated users wondering why we do not reply!”)
Jira Migration
- Issues still open: https://osgeo-org.atlassian.net/issues/?jql=project%20%3D%20GEOS%20AND%20status%20%3D%20Open
- jody made it so closed issues are still editable!
- So contact Harrison? Jody taked to him about the expanding scope (difference in cloud version vs codehaus version). He did not want to ask for increased budget … but I still want this fixed
Done:
- Title and description
- Comments copied with raw text attribution (which seems fine)
- Versions and components copied
- Attachments look OK
- Content has raw unrendered HTML markup (Jira version internal change)
Actions:
- Report from contractor: difference in Jira version an issue? (See above)
- Still incomplete
- Still need issue status / resolution / version / fixedFor / etc…
- How to help? Spot check descriptions between codehaus and cloud
- Fix version not done, so cannot use to produce release changlogs
vecmath merge
- Jim did some work (thanks!)
- Jody is removing dependeny now, expect to finish today
- can we merge this week? Earlier the better.
Jenkins geoserver-app-schema-online
- Jenkins job working for postgis (thanks Torben)
- Oracle permissions problem?
- Missing TESTTBS “table space”, needed as part of setting up test oracle database. Undocumented requirement. One-time task.
- Still need SC4O for Oracle 3D.
- Torben reports Oracle changes pending on DBA availability, perhaps something next week
General Discussion
- Travis is offering OSX build boxes, Andrea has put is in the queue to request one
- Q: backport test infrastructure (https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/1026) ? A: Should be backported. About the changes to core “CacheProvider” in core, the CacheProvider interface could move into jdbcconfig (since it is not used anywhere else).
- Winbuild for GeoServer master passing: http://winbuild.geo-solutions.it/jenkins/job/GeoServer-Master/
- importer data improvements for raster data. Please review (IanS,Justin) or Andrea can merge later this week.
- Module Matrix to README.md (example: https://github.com/geotools/geotools/blob/master/modules/unsupported/swing/README.md)
Solicit early test from users on 2.8.x features
Ideas:
- Jody: Offers to make a milestone build of GeoTools (LocationTech projects such as Jim and GeoMesa) and GeoServer (for early feedback)
- Andrea: blog post series about new features, one feature per blog post
(no-data, faster GML encoding, importer improvements for raster data, etc…)
Pull Request Round up
