[Geoserver-devel] PostGIS layer has thine whitish Outline, with no stroke setting on SLD

Dear Members,

I added PostGIS layer on Geoserver 2.6 has thine whitish outline, with no stroke setting on SLD. I wanted to have no outline. Is there a fix to this problem? My issue is exactly the same as this issue. http://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/78414/how-to-remove-tiny-polygon-outlines-in-geoserver-sld

Kind Regards,
Wondie

Nothing we can do right now, we would need to control the "gamma" of the
alpha compositing, but in Java2D it's not exposed to the programmer.
Your only option is to add a tiny stroke around the polygons, of the same
color

That is a nice solution. If I use same stroke color as the polygon fill, I hope the outline will disappear! What is the smallest stroke size? 0.1 or 1?

That is fascinating Andrea. Wonder if we could add the small outline in cases where a stroke has not been supplied (and fill opacity is 100%) so that this glitch in Java2d is masked over for our users.

Wondie could you take further questions to the user list, we try and keep the developer list focused for this working directly on the project.

I'm skeptical about going this way, it can have a measurable performance
overhead and the glitch is visible only against polygon partitions, but
not against isolated polygons (e.g., building maps)
