Hi, I was going through the IRC Logs June 6 - 1) PSC 2) 1.4.0-M0 3) 1.3 next 4) next couple weeks.
I’m collecting suggestions that was made and (some) not yet put into the PSC page. ( http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOSDEV/0+Project+Steering+Committee )
The suggestions are:
I’d like an introduction about how it’s part of the open project structure,
a meritocracy and that any one can get to pmc.
Also might be nice to have a note about membership to PMC by individual, not company.
And a process for how new people can become PMC, though the PMC could do that after it’s formed.
I think ‘proposals’ should be a bit more formalized…
like email list and wiki page, and link to the wiki page where proposals should be made.
I really like in plone and mapserver that you can track the proposals and decisions made.
I’m fine with monthly releases, just don’t call it 1.4.0
should add IP to the list of project policies the PSC pays attention to.
Alternative B is less work, Alternative A is more open.
