There are still issues, but overall it seems to me the proposals are
at least readable.
Issues still remaining are related to links between pages, that were lost
during the translation, and some other formatting problems (some lists
and tables are a mess).
I’m trying to improve things further, if you want to help let me know
Cheers

Hi all,
I’m pretty much done with the fixes that I could make without going page by page.
Tables are fixed, images are linked, some attachments have been resurrected as well.
Jody, I still haven’t fixed that page with the subpages, the subpages are in the wiki,
they are just not liked, it’s better if you do that, some re-organization is in order, as in
markdown we cannot link to anchors in subpages

Thanks for doing this! Looks like I was wrong about the script, seems to
have worked pretty darn well.
The script really just extracted the confluence textile from the
entities.xml, plus did some massaging
to the contents (regex based search and replace, which I pimped up a lot to
get some things right).
Then pandoc to go from textile to markdown, and then a round of other
search and replace on the markdown,
and finally a round of manual fixes for the leftover issues and to attach
back images.
Took me like 5 hours total to get the proposals to the current status.
Cheers

Thanks Andrea you are a champ, I think I best punt that into a sepereate repo ( especially If you have changes) and make a blog post. I cannot imagine we are the only ones exiting confluence.
Paul Pfeiffer did the early experimentation on that script, and I have one more uDig wiki to port.
