mapbuilder and geoserver people,
As discussed with some of you, Mapbuilder-lib, (a web based WFS-T client) is about to release it's first web based WFS-T client. It is still quite experimental with functionality missing, a few usability issues, and not much testing. (I'd call it prototype software).
Gabriel Roland has kindly incorporated some example shapefiles into geoserver which a mapbuilder demo can access and has incorporated a simple mapbuilder-lib demo in it as well.
I have 2 possible suggestions regarding release timings which I'd like advice on. Which is better:
1.
a. mapbuilder-lib creates a release.
b. geoserver doesn't include mapbuilder-lib in it's release.
c. geoserver releases before or at the same time as mapbuilder-lib.
2.
a. mapbuilder-lib creates a release.
b. geoserver incorporates mapbuilder-lib release (with compressed javascript) into the geoserver demo.
c. geoserver and mapbuilder release as the same time.
The mapbuilder-lib release should be ready within 2 to 3 days. Ie, Friday 18/Saturday 19 March (Sydney, Australia time).
