[Geoserver-devel] Proposing a GeoServer 2.0.3 release towards the end of the week

Hi,
following up my proposal to release GT 2.6.6 towards the end of the week here we go
with a proposed GS 2.0.3 release at the end of the week as well
(codename “please die and let me code on 2.1.x and trunk, will ya?”).

The last seven commits on 2.0.x are spread out over two months so it does not
seem like it’s very active anyways, a final release would be a good way to put it to rest.

If you have something pending it would be nice and useful to have it committed
sooner rather than later, if we have one day straight without a commit on both
GeoToolsl 2.6.x and GeoServer 2.0.x, and the CITE tests overnight do pass,
we can just take the revision of that day as valid and use it for tagging the
release

Let me know if that works for you. And if you are interested in joining the party and help, too,
no task is too small (announcements, blogs, checking the source build works and the like…
btw I guess we should add a step in the release guide for that if it’s not already there,
the last source release did not build… my fault I did not check).

Cheers
Andrea

Sounds great. Just let me know what I can do to help. I can put out the announcement and blog if you like and build the mac installer (even though I did not do this for 2.1-RC2… oops).

sounds good. I can’t volunteer to big tasks but ring a bell if you’d want at least a source build validation
