[Geoserver-devel] PSC Nomination Process .. brent can you still collect votes?

Brent are you still good to collect votes for the the nomination process? http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOSDEV/0+Project+Steering+Committee

It seems we are ready to go. It has been hard to engage TOPP formally as your email is down and nobody from TOPP was at the IRC meeting today.

Huh? What email was down? Sorry we didn't let you know we wouldn't be at the IRC meeting, Brent and I are at Where 2.0, and quite busy.

If the votes start coming in on thursday or friday, sure thing. But not until then, I'm in San Jose with random internet access.

Our email should be up and running again. If not msg me and I will talk to our sys admin.

Okay Chris thanks for letting us know - you were missed

Please enjoy the conference and we will continue to muddle along here. I did know that Justin was going on holidays, but you guys did not send out anything...

Could you send out an email to the committers asking for votes? We do not need a tally until next IRC meeting.
Jody

Still premature guys. We only have a rough draft of the PSC mandate. It needs to be polished so that nominees know more or less what they are getting into.

Justin, how much longer? If the PSC is not the way to go should I be phoning jackie to get things done? We need a way to work ...
Jody

A PSC is not something we can form in a day. If you want to get it formed sooner you could dedicate some of your resources to getting the docs in order so that people know *exactly* what they are getting into so we can bootstrap the thing. If not it is going to go as fast as my volunteer time or anyone elses volunteer time permits.

And of course you are always free to contact TOPP for official support.

Justin during the IRC meeting we update the PSC page of responsibilities, I can check it again against the recommendations made in the previous meeting. If there is anything else we can do to speed this process just ask.

Thanks, will do.

Yup, thats where things are at. Someone needs to go through the logs and address the concerns that were brought up.
