[Geoserver-devel] RC1 and geotools coverages

Hi,
we're about to release RC1. Yet, I think, trunk is still quite far behind the 1.7.x series when it comes to coverage management?

I may be wrong, but I think there are significant changes in the
mosaic module, and maybe in the gdal ones, that haven't been
ported over to gt2 trunk and thus are not available for GeoServer
trunk, making it less functional than the 1.7.x series

Is this correct? (if not, apologies, must have missed the
relevant commits). If it is, what are the plans to port over
the code to (gt2) trunk?

Cheers
Andrea

Ciao Andrea,
situation is as follows:

-we are internally working on trunk (gt and gs) for new plugins
-gdal should be aligned between 2.5 and 2.6
-mosaic is not algined since on trunk there are some old modifications
done specifically for udig which I would need to incorporate (ore
probably kill) somehow.

The plan is to align mosaic in the next weeks and probably check again
imageio-ext support, since daniele started to work on gdal 1.6.1
support.

Simone.
