[Geoserver-devel] RC4 early next week?

Hi,
so we need a RC4. What about doing one early next week (Tuesday?)
There are a couple of issues pending, I should be able to fix the
first shortly (http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4445), what
about the GWC related one, which was discussed on the ml
but did not have a jira so far?
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4454

Oh, as far as I know there are also, likely, those two:
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4283
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4427

As far as I know none of the other issues tagged for 2.1.0
are actually serious enough or have backing to actually
get into 2.1.0

Btw, what about gt2? 2.7.1 one week after 2.7.0? :frowning:

Cheers
Andrea

I was thinking if we could have used 2.7.0, but no, the coverage reprojection
bug had to be fixed in geotools

I would also like to add this one to the list which also has a patch awaiting review:

http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4446

Actually the patch builds on the patch for GEOS-4283.

As far as I know none of the other issues tagged for 2.1.0

Yeah, the fix for GEOS-4283 also requires a geotools change as well… but yeah that is pretty quick for another release. That said these are good fixes. If anyone has an issue with releasing gt so quickly we could just tag this time… Also if you want to distribute the release load I can take gt and you take gs? Or vice versa.

I guess tagging would be good. But I'm also going to ask on the
gt ml to hear how people feel about it.

Also if you want to distribute the release load I can take gt
and you take gs? Or vice versa.

Very appreciated, we'll work out the details of who tags what later?

sounds good to me too. I'll add the quota disablement flag in time, and
can help with the release process.
