Hi Jody,
I was running jakarta-tomcat-4.1.12. I think its version 1 and release
12.
I would certainly fill out wiki on compatibility at
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOS/GeoServer+Servlet+Container+Report
s
I would carefully fill up all the setup details.
Regards,
Swapan Mazumdar

Hi Chris,
Thank you very much for allowing me to get benefited from this forum
in
particular. After I installed jakarta-tomcat-5.0.19 and deployed
geoserver.war, I was overwhelmed to see the see the app. Counter
rising
high from 0% to 100%. And yeah, tomcat4.1 had some major problems. I
am
not sure what specific module was inconsistent.
I am glad you found something that worked.
I have been able to get Tomcat 4.1.30 to work (indeed I did all my
developement
against that release). What version of Tomcat 4.1 were you running?
There is a wiki on compatiability that it woudl be great if you could
fill out:
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOS/GeoServer+Servlet+Container+Report
s
Just add a section for yourself at the bottom to describe your setup,
and fill
in any additional entries in the table you can.
Thanks muchly,
Jody
