Hi Ezequiel,

Have a look at this:

Hi, i'm Ezequiel Aranda from Santa Fe, Argentina.
I'm working in my engineering thesis' , that is about developing a
client (= i don`t decidee if is gonna be a thick or a thin client) for
a PDA. this client has to communicate to GeoServer to show some
geographic information.
It is actually a prototype to develop an architecture that works well
and show the integration between a mobile dispositive and an
geographic information's server.
I wonder if someone have any documentation or anything else to help
me wit= h this work.
Thanks a lot

Eze,

For PDA development you can use eMbedded Visual Studio from MSFT; WMS/WFS
uses either SOAP over HTTP or KVP over HTTP. The nice thing about eMbedded
Visual Studio is that you can do fast prototyping with eMbedded Visual Basic
and the .NET framework to get things going rather quickly (e.g., use the
.NET framework XML libraries, etc.). If you go the J2ME route things might
be harder since J2ME is based on the CLDC layer which has no support for XML
and you would have to do the GUI in Midp.

v/r,
Efren
