[Geoserver-devel] RE: [Geoserver-users] Error adding new FeatureType (Oracle Spatial)

Ok, sounds like you're the third person with this problem (see:
http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.gis.geoserver.user/237). John and
Dirk, I'd like to try to get to the bottom of this. You guys never
found a solution or work around, did you? It's weird, because not all
oracle users have this problem.

I created a JIRA task, and if you guys could comment on it that'd be
great. http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-402 Or if it's easier
just answer my questions here:

What version of oracle are you using?
Is this a problem on _all_ tables? Like are you ever able to create a
featureType? If not, what is unique about these tables?
Could you try ones that don't have any geometry? (not sure if this is
possible with oracle + gt2, but I know on postgis it is)
What is the structure of your tables? Like what's the statement to
create them? We can try it out on other oracle instances, see if we
get the same problem there...
Is your geometry properly registered in the oracle meta table (I forget
what it's called at the moment).
Any other relevant information you can think of?

Basically GeoTools seems to think that there are two attributes of the
same name. I have no idea why...

best regards,

Chris

Chris,

Here is the log you requested.
I also added the error desriptions.
