[Geoserver-devel] Re: Is geoserver documentation written in docbook?

Yeah, we currently use docbook.

Though Jody wants to port us to wiki, I leave it to dblasby to decide.

We actually don't do complex xsl params and whatnot. We just make a
navigator page - see documents/navigator.xml in the source download/cvs
-
http://svn.refractions.net/geoserver/trunk/geoserver/documents/navigator.xml
And then we just have an index.html page that points at the navigator
and the other page:
http://svn.refractions.net/geoserver/trunk/geoserver/documents/index.html
And a stylesheet to color it appropriately. I imagine you guys are
probably better at such things than I though.

best regards,

Chris

Geoserver people,
Do you use docbook to create the documentation at:
http://geoserver.sourceforge.net/documentation/index.html

For the mapbuilder project we want to produce documentation with the
table of contents on the left and contents body on the right similar to
what you have done but we are unsure how to convert docbook into this
format.

What XSL and params do you use?

Although Jody may jump the gun occasionally, don't tell chris.
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOSDOC/User

And if you want to help rescue the out of date docbook docs...
1. download the latest from the GeoServer 1.3.0-beta release
2. Open up two browsers
3. Copy and paste the content over

This is currently my background task when I am too tired to code safely.
