Just in case you guys missed it - Andrea has been very helpful over the last couple of weeks. However he is not (yet) a volunteer
A new entry has been added to the Support page, that lets you know how you can hire him.

Of course everyone on that page comes with my recommendation

Andrea: the link you provided (in addition to playing nice music and allowing me to choose a language) has the title " (default)" which makes for a poor bookmark. Perhaps you could talk to your web admin?

Sure I'll do. Do you have any suggestions for adding a commercial support
link on Geoserver pages too? The commercial support link on http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOS/Home goes directly to a Refractions
page (maybe I should talk with Chris and ask permission to setup a commercial
support page in the Geoserver wiki).

Just do it, and please maintain the link to the Refractions one on your new page  Actually Gabriel's company should get a nod as well.

Ack - okay once you set up the new page let me know *yahoo?), I will need to do some evil confluence hacking to get it to work. I have not yet gotten the GeoServer community to agree to the same presentation that the geotools site has (so it still requires manual work for me). Chris if you let me throw a switch I can get out of the confluence hacking biz...

Oh, as a side note, any news on that Johannesburg work?

Not yet, but the fellow is very interested. And you are in the correct timezone.
Jody

Cheers
Andrea

Yes, I want to redo the page, but feel free to start one on the wiki, which we can start to point to.

To be honest I don't really like the look of the new geotools stuff. I'm fine with editing the html directly like the old way, but don't currently have the permissions to do so right now. I'm happy to do the hacking... Maybe we can get me some more priveleges?

Jump on irc.codehaus.org#codehaus and ask - I have confirmed that you have permission near as I can tell. The last update may have done us in. If you really like it better we can change it back.

Jody

I'm not for changing the web page for a new look and feel. It is working quite well the way it is now and I don't think it needs much improvement.

If the community is having a hard time with it, and wants it changed, then I say we change it; but not if no one is having any issues.
