but the getCapabilities says, there is no sld support

hey, as far as I know, the latest geoserver version is 1.3.0-RC1
do you mean 1.2.4?
if so, download it from http://sourceforge.net/projects/geoserver
or get the latest from subversion trunk at
http://svn.refractions.net/geoserver/trunk/geoserver
