Ian I saw that the build script looks to be fixed - but source forge still has https://sourceforge.net/projects/geoserver/files/GeoServer/2.14.5/manual.pdf listed.
Have you been able to return to this topic? I could not figure out a way to rename the file from the source forge UI.
