[Geoserver-devel] Release manager needed for GeoServer 2.17.0 final

Hi,
it’s been two weeks since the release of GeoServer 2.17-RC, time to move on with a final release.
Don’t think we had reports of regressions, did we?

No reports of trouble, GeoCat finished up some testing today (via geocatbridge arcmap / qgis) and it went well.

I had a number of packaging things to look at, in particular this line https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/blob/master/build/build_release.sh#L319 did not behave as expected during the release candidate.

I’m happy to do this next week if Andrea (or someone) can help out with GWC - or I may be able to do it Friday of this week if there is a hurry?

Hi Ian,
yup much appreciated. There is no hurry, next week I should be able to help you with GWC,
just note that I will have a odd schedule due to the OGC Testbed 16 kickoff meetings, which
are scheduled to happen at Washington local times, thus moving my working day well into
the night
