I made some changes to the release process:
release changes
---------------
1. (done) removed all .tar.gz releases. .zips are standard on windows
and "unzip" is standard on unix
2. (done) removed most .jars from lib/ in the .exe -- these are not
required since they're repeated in WEB-INF/lib
3. (done) added in the "binary installer"
4. (done) added documentation to .exe and binary releases
5. (done) documentation changes (index.htmls and such)
6. (done) removed a bunch of stuff from the userbasic config's demo (I
deleted these earlier, but someone re-commited them)
7. (done) tried the mapbuilder stuff and added a link to it on the
"welcome page" so others can try it out
Its not quite done yet, but its slowly improving...

Huh? There was a lib directory in the .exe? Did you build the .exe from
the binary release? (yes, I know, I am sure I didn't explain this well).
The ideal with the .exe, that I never had time to, is to make it an ant
script, a user would just have to define an ant property pointing at the
proper nsis location.

Ah, quite nice, I like the prefixes.

Very nice.
