As from the subject,
since we are pretty late on the 1.5.0 schedule
and 1.6.x will be ready for hacking soon, can
we do an RC1 next week?
Cheers
Andrea
Looking at our open issues:
http://jira.codehaus.org/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?reset=true&mode=hide&sorter/order=DESC&sorter/field=priority&resolution=-1&pid=10311&fixfor=13178
That sounds good to me. All my blockers have been handled. Nothing I see in the current list of open 1.5 issues can't be handled in RC status. The big one remaining is CITE tests. We may want to try to pass the cite tests before going RC?

Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?

I think if we pass cite tests then yes we can just release it as RC1.
But if it doesn't pass, then we can either wait until it is fixed and release RC1 or go ahead and release beta 3.

The problem we encountered last week - namely that the WCS did not work unless the request exactly matched the coverage in terms of resolution (ie zoom in does not work) should be a blocker.
