[Geoserver-devel] Request commit access to provide German translations

Hallo List,

I’d like to contribute German translations for the core geoserver modules and created patch files in the past. Christian Mueller committed the attached patches for GEOS-4294

In the past I provided some small patches for the geoserver project : GEOS-4231, GEOS-4216 and the one mentioned above.

I already created an OSGeo ID (fgdrf) and a Codehaus account (fgdrf1976). I just applied at Visit xircles.codehaus.org for the Geoserver project.

Could you as the PMCs give me access to the SVN repository that I’m able to change these property files?

Whats next?

Thanks a lot,
Frank Gasdorf

I’ve just accepted you as a developer so you have commit access.
Please use it for the intended purpose only, and if necessary collaborate with Christian (for example, in case of sentences
that cannot be clearly translated, or if you have doubts).
If you want to commit code changes that’s fine too, but you should ask for review and I guess sign the contribution agreement
(see the developer guide).

The work in normally done on two branches:

  • the 2.1.x branch is where the current stable series live. Commit there if you want a change to show up in the next stable release
  • the trunk is where the future is. Commit there if you want a change not to be lost when we’ll switch to GS 2.2.0

Cheers
Andrea

Andrea & geoserver-list

today I was trying to commit some property files (i18n de) but the commit to https://svn.codehaus.org failed with my osgeo id fgdrf. My changes affect the 2.1.x branch, not the trunk and are patches for the mentioned GEOS-Jira tickets at the buttom.

Could you please check whether I have already / still commit access? Would be great to share my contributions.

Thanks a lot,
Frank

I believe you're using the wrong user name. You have to use the one you used
to register to xircles.codehaus.org, which appears to be: kniffode
