[Geoserver-devel] Request community module "app-schema"

As per GSIP 22, I request permission from a PSC member to create a GeoServer community module "app-schema" on trunk.

The purpose of GeoServer community/app-schema is to house unit/functional tests of the integration of GeoTools app-schema (application schema DataAccess) with GeoServer. That is, there are parts of GeoServer that do not yet work with GeoTools app-schema. When these are fixed, the unit/functional tests that confirm the correct operation of GeoTools app-schema with GeoServer will be housed in GeoServer community/app-schema.

I do not anticipate that application schemas support will require building community/app-schema. All the application schema support implementation should live in the GeoTools app-schema module. It is our goal that GeoTools app-schema work with stock GeoServer.

+1 for the module.
I expect that quite a bit of changes will be necessary in order to
have GS work with your extra tests. Will you open jira and
post patches? Generally speaking, how do we review at least the
first batch of changes?

Cheers
